Brunei Gallery gets a Refurbishment

Kinetic have recently completed the mechanical and electrical services part of a key refurbishment of London University’s Brunei Gallery. Amongst other work, Kinetic were responsible for all new lighting and electrical rewiring in a new dining area and auditorium and for all M & E services in the new dining area’s kitchens. Included in the auditorium refurbishment was an all new set of audio and hi-tech equipment and Kinetic installed the entire new infrastructure for the systems.

The gallery was opened by the Sultan of Brunei and acclaimed as a piece of architecture in its own right with many of the architectural features making it more challenging to complete the renovation.

The refurbishment allowed the university to rent out the spaces for high quality conferences and functions. The work had to be completed in 8 weeks as the first conferences were booked to happen straight after. This presented some major challenges to the construction team, but the project was completed on time and all the booked events went ahead successfully.
